Art or Bullshit!
Which is which. Maybe you have often wondered what makes something a piece of art or just - yes, let's call things by their names, plain bullshit.
Whether we are holding a painting, a drawing or a photograph or whatever chosen media, what are the qualities, the parameters, that puts one into the art category and the other in the bin. Is it simply a question of supply and demand, the signature of the artist, the so-say of art-dealers, read the industry, or what? Or are there a set of internationally recognized rules describing and defining art.
If you are interested in art, then you've probably more than once been paying a visit to a museum nearby. You've been looking at the exhibition - the paintings on the walls, the sculptures etc. You've maybe found yourself wondering how that piece of abstract has made it to the wall, or how that piece of painted wood with drilled holes in it has made it to be exhibited on the floor of a well reputed museum.
Are you an illiterate when it comes to art? Do you have to know the ins and outs, to be educated, to know art. As much as you have to be a chef to enjoy a meal at a restaurant?
The art critic is using all the right adjectives describing that piece of art. The beautifull strokes of the brush, the original selection of the chosen colors, the genius of composition and so on and so on.
The artist is a chimpansee, or maybe a five year old kid. Should the art critic pay a visit to a shrink or maybe be committed to a mental institution. Or does it just take really true genius to tell that even a chimpansee, or a kid, can make true art? Some people say that art takes over where craftmanship ends.
Maybe the art of the art is that art cannot be taught, but only experienced. Is it then a blessed few then who can experience art only. And who are they?
The Emperor's new Clothes. Art or Bullshit. A loved one can hold many names. We don't have the answers, but we do hope that we've stopped you in your motion to make you think -
Are you blessed!
We hope you'll enjoy the Art.

The writing on The Wall
Graffiti - Vandalism or a Stroke of Art
Walking through any big city it’s impossible not to stumble upon walls decorated with graffiti. Vandalism or Art - well it’s often in the eye of the beholder. You can definately find art in the pieces if, in some instances, some cropping is done - and some totals might even be labelled art.
With the right signature, and put on some canvas, these strokes on the wall - put on the walls in a museum, might even rake in thousand of dollars.
This Spring gallery has been inspired by those “unknown” City Artist - and labelled The Writing on The wall.
